The work carried out by the group was extremely difficult emotionally, physically and psychologically. It was realised also that no digital copies or backups of the photographs existed, and this problem had to be addressed also.
Brendan Howard set to work on the immense task of restoration and reinstatement. All of the photographs were copied and recorded on disk, and placed in the College Archive, leaving the task of preparing the original prints for display. To date the sports archive, from to has been reframed, and once again has pride of place in the main foyer. The Leaving Certificate photographs are in the process of being framed this is proving to be a challenging task since in the early decades of photographs, student names were not attached; and a great deal of research is being carried out in order to supply those missing.
It is hoped that this part of the task will be completed by the end of this year. Flannan s The beginning of the school year was marked for first year and Leaving Certificate students with special masses in the College Chapel, celebrated by our chaplain Fr. Damien Nolan. During the year links between the College and Ennis Parish were maintained when students led a liturgy at the Cathedral during the season of Advent.
In March, the Parish Mission included the active involvement of a number of Senior College students, who carried out key roles in three of the most important liturgies at the Cathedral. Senior students also participated in one of the most unusual aspects of the Week, the Street Mission, which involved daily prayer and worship at the Height in the Ennis town centre. This year again, about forty senior students volunteered as facilitators for the Faith Friends Programme which helps prepare students for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Reconciliation Services were held for class groups during Advent and Lent. Earlier in the year, all fifth year students were given the opportunity to experience A Day of Prayer and Reflection in the College, led by a team from Esker Retreat Centre. Flannan s College end-of-year Awards Night in May. Aaron Goodstein was named composer of the year for his work with electronic and conventional music which is garnering accolades a- plenty within the industry.
Molly Brannock was named songwriter of the year for her prolific work as a vocalist and pianist. Aaron Goldstein and Molly Brannock with their music teacher, Ms. Rooney and College Principal, Ms. C Honan. Flannan s has a well stocked library for use by students and staff.
It has a large fiction section which is divided into Senior and Junior Fiction. The College tries to encourage reading for pleasure, and the College library aims to provide students with interesting and relevant reading material. Students may borrow books from the library for their silent reading classes in first and second year English.
World Book Day book tokens are distributed by Ms. Collins and the students who volunteer to help in the library. It is a lending library; students may borrow up to three books at a time to take home. Students can visit the library to sit and read or study on Mondays and Fridays from p. New members are always welcome to borrow books or to help out with the running of the library. The festival was held in March.
The week kicked off with the Rock bands on the Monday with memorable performances, especially by Shoot the Hostages. Trad and Classical musicians performed on Wednesday. A large Trad group entertained and this was interspersed with pieces on various solo instruments. Dance was the discipline on display on Thursday and several acts distinguished themselves, particularly the street dancing by Darryl Doctor and Rahphael Faluyi.
Drum Dance Ireland visited on Friday and enthralled students with an interactive percussion show that fully engaged all present. Artscope also visited the school and engaged with the students in a juggling display that proved very enjoyable.
Pictured are some of the acts that featured in Arts Week. The St. Flannan s team members were responsible for the overall design of the space settlement while the other national contingents contributed to the settlement subsystems. The space settlement consisted of a single modified torus spinning around a central cylinder. It was named Habitus Nova, orbited the earth Call for Old Newsletters Over the past few years, response to our ongoing call for donations of old copies of the St.
Flannan s College Newsletter, has been encouraging. In its present form the Newsletter has been around since , and is now a longestablished College tradition, and we are trying to assemble as many complete sets as possible, for archival and other purposes. So if there are any old issues lurking at home in drawers, garages or attics, we would be delighted to accept same.
If you have any, please drop in to reception. So impressed were the judges with the work of the team that it was one of twenty entries worldwide to be invited to present their work at the International Space Development Conference ISDC in San Diego, California, which took place from May , Their presentation was very well received by the audience of scientists, military personnel and the general public. It has been another fantastic year for the Science Club organised by Science teacher, Mr.
Michael Horgan, assisted this year by Ms. Grainne O Brien. The trip was funded by our main sponsor Microsemi Ireland and also by St. Arts in the College As usual, it was a busy year on the Arts front with several disparate events occurring throughout the year. The awards night is part of a long tradition in the College. In the early years, its purpose was to honour success in sport during the previous academic year. The ceremony has evolved considerably and in modern times, the occasion provides the opportunity to acknowledge students contributions to life in the College from very many different aspects. In addition to sports awards, this year, the school marked achievement in the fields of Science, Gaeilge, Music, and University scholarships. The highlight every year is the announcement of Student of the Year.
In , the winner was Orla O Halloran. Apart from inspiring her fellow students academically, Orla distinguished herself in many other ways during her five years at the College. She engaged in sport, charity work and music and was part of the trip to Calcutta this year. She was consistently a positive force during her time with us and we wish her all the best. McCormack led a group of 44 classicists, ranging from section to fifth year, on a tour of the Eternal City. The packed itinerary included the Forum, the Colosseum, the Vatican museum, St.
On Day Three, despite the rain and snow, the students trekked through the streets of Pompeii. The trip was memorable for many reasons not least that we were in situ when Pope Benedict handed in his historic resignation.
In September the students went on their first trip to Connemara, where over two days they took part in a twenty-five kilometre walk as part of the Gaisce Awards. This proved to be an enjoyable trip as the students got to know one another. The students also attended local events such as plays and road safety presentations by Clare Co.
Among the other activities in which the students took part courses such as First Aid, Driver Awareness which gave them a chance to get behind the wheel of a car , Yoga, Interior Design, Safe Food for Life and Self Defence. A Disability Awareness Programme with Enable Ireland gave the students an understanding of the manner in which so many people cope with disability, while a Law Course afforded them an insight into the workings of the legal system.
Students received a whole range of certificates at their awards night at the end of May. Students also got a practical insight into the world of business with the setting up of a number of mini-companies, which involved the marketing of Christmas wreaths, cards, candy canes and school hoodies for Leaving Certificate students. Six students also took part in the setting up and running of the school bank in conjunction with AIB. They won their regional heat in Cork and qualified for the national finals which were held in the R.
Students also took part in the Clare County Enterprises Board mini-company day in the West County Hotel where they displayed their business plans and products. The Transition Year programme is constantly changing, and this year as part of the Disability Awareness Programme the students took part in a youth club in conjunction with Clare Sports Partnership. Every Tuesday, the students voluntarily gave up their time after school to help students with disabilities partake in sports in the College sports hall.
This turned out to be a huge success, and the time and effort given by a large number of the students was very much appreciated by the parents of the children who attended the club. It is hoped to continue with the youth club this year and to even start it earlier!
The students also took part in wheelchair basketball and won the Clare heats and went on to compete in the Munster final. Some students also used their time in TY to travel abroad and during the year students travelled as far as Australia, India and South Africa as part of their work experience and for charity work.
Students were also involved in charity and community work in their locality, with placements in Clarecastle and Kilmaley Day Care Centres, St. Anne s and St. Clare s School. They also helped in fundraising events for Autism Ireland and for Cahercalla Hospice. Students also spent two weeks on work experience in a whole range of places including primary schools, offices and companies. The students sampled a wide range of both optional and core subjects.
In English, both classes wrote, performed and directed their own short film with the help of local photographer Paul Corey and their teachers and in Irish they took part in debates and even learnt how to do set dancing! The year ended with a three-day activity trip to Killary Adventure Centre which all the students enjoyed. Flannan s is widely believed to have been a cricketplaying College in the late nineteenth century, in fact the only reference we have to the game here relates to a match played between a St.
Flannan s eleven and one called Mr. Macnamara was a well-known north Clare landlord, and future father-in-law of the poet Dylan Thomas. In that match, the visitors were victorious by 22 runs on the first innings. After the match, it was reported, the visitors were most hospitably entertained by the College. Recently, cricket has enjoyed something of a revival, and after the May bank holiday, the first match to take place on College grounds in over a hundred years was played, at under-eighteen level by a St.
Flannan s side, and a team from the U19 Boys Clare Cricket club. After a close and exciting match, St. Flannan s - again - went down to a visiting team. The school competed very strongly in the Cross country and Track and Field Championships. It was a very successful year for our current Transition Year student Kevin Mulcaire. In March, in an extremely exciting race and in very tough conditions, he won the Intermediate Boys Race in the All Ireland Championships, which were held in Belfast.
Following this he was again selected to represent Ireland in the Schools Cross Country Championships that were held in Wales. After a very impressive Cross Country season, Kevin went on to achieve further success on the track, winning the Munster and All-Ireland titles in the 3, metres. So impressive were his times that he was selected to represent Ireland in the Youth Olympics which were held in Antwerp during the summer.
Ronan Barry also had a very successful year on the track. Ronan was selected to represent Munster in the Tailteann Interprovincial games in the metre race. He won a bronze medal in this race and was then selected to represent Ireland in the 4 x m hurdles in the Schools International which was held in Santry over the summer. Sean Collins also enjoyed a very successful year, representing Munster in the 1, metre Steeplechase.
In September Sean represented Ireland in the junior mountain running championships which were held in Scotland. Congratulations also to Eoin Hanrahan who represented Munster in both the discus and shot put in the Tailteann games and to Niamh Markham who won double Munster titles on the track in both and 1, metres.
Congratulations to all our athletes on a hugely successful year. Sean Collins In his time he led a College junior team to a Munster schools cross country title and in his final year he won the individual senior Schools All-Ireland mountain running title. He was also a middle distance track runner of note. We add our congratulations to the many accolades he has received and wish him further success.
Narrowly defeating Rice College in a challenge match gave St. Panel: R. Collins, R. Wiley, E. Barry, R. Clancy, L. Ryan, H. Dinan, E. Lynch, K. McEldowney, E. Walsh, A. Keane, S. McGuane, C. Heagney, C.
Lynch, A. Fleming, L. Hogan, C. Corbett, C. Carmody, C. O Dea, A. Trainers: Ms. McInerney, Ms. Lillis Mr. Flannan s Junior A camogie teams enjoyed a very successful season in , making history by securing the first ever Junior A Munster title for the College.
The Juniors started with the 7 s competition in September in Cork. After a shaky start against St. Marys Nenagh who the girls were to become very familiar with over the course of the year they eventually breezed into the final against Charleville. This was down to the wire with two minutes to go but after outstanding performances by all 10 on the panel they again retained the Munster 7s A title and went on to compete in the All Ireland 7s finals in Dublin.
Team: C. Devitt, D. Murphy, A. O Shea, A. Keane, A. O Keeffe, L. Browne, A. Wiley, L. Tuohy, A. Malone, S. The All Ireland Competition was hotly contested and St. Flannans defied all the odds to reach the final, which was delayed due to an Air Corps helicopter making an emergency landing in the Phoenix Park!! Wins over Ulster and Connacht secured us second place with top two into final.
The final was against Loreto, Kilkenny, and even though the girls gave an excellent performance, Loreto proved just a bit too experienced for us, and we bowed out as runners up for the second year running. The girls can be extremely proud of their performance over the course of this competition, having shown great character to come from behind in both All Ireland group games.
This secured us a place in the Munster final against St. Marys Nenagh who have always proven very difficult to beat. It was a home draw for Nenagh and the venue was Templederry. The girls produced the team performance of their lives, with a display of camogie that any senior team would be proud of. Teresa O Keeffe was solid as a rock at full back and her fielding of high ball was complemented by both sets of supporters.
Aoibheann Malone also had a massive influence on the game, controlling everything at centre back and providing a platform for midfielders and forwards to attack. Indeed each one of the backs could be praised for individual performances and every score Nenagh got was hard earned. Some excellent scores came from Louise Browne and Aoife Keane, at centre and full forward. It was a hard fought game, but the result was never in doubt as this very young Flannans team stormed to victory, with captain Aoibheann Malone lifting the Junior A Munster cup for the first time in the colleges history.
The All-Ireland semi-final against the Connacht champions was a similarly high tempo game, with yet another excellent performance from St. Flannans but unfortunately the scores just didn t come as easy on the day and we lost the game by the narrow margin of 3 points. Back row, left to right: C. Heaghney, A. Keane, Al. Malone, Ao. Malone, C. Eustace, E. Barry, L. Tuohy, E. Meaney, L. Browne, H. Dinan, C. McMahon, C. Middle row: L. Linnane Manager , A. Fleming, T. It began with beating Presentation Thurles who went on to win Senior A All Ireland and Loughrea in our first two group games, and losing to Nenagh for the second time this year as they also beat us in quarter final of championship.
This led us to a semi final against Athenry, and a huge performance from the Flannans girls left us facing once again St. Marys Nenagh in the league final. The Seniors gave a fine display, indeed their best performance against this strong Tipperary side to date at senior level.
Up until the last 5 minutes it was anybody s game, but Nenagh had the experience to get them over the line. We can be sure that the Flannans girls will look forward to forward to another meeting with them next year!!! Junior Ladies Football St.
Flannan s Junior ladies football team won the Clare colleges competition last year and went on to represent their county in the Munster B competition. They beat Kilrush Community College in the Clare colleges final on a scoreline of 4.
Our first year girls showed great interest and we had more than 50 players out for trials. Unfortunately we could only have a panel of 20 for the competition. They won two of their group matches but lost out in qualifying for the final. Quinn, A. Maher, S. O Connor, E. Neylon, R. Third Year: A.

Eustace, V. Meaney, D. Chambers, L. Kearney, L. First Year: B. Garry, A. O Brien. Flannan s were drawn against Corca Dhuibhne from Dingle in the first round.
The game was played in Newcastlewest on the 22nd February in ideal conditions. We started the game brightly and scored the first score after a minute. We played some very good football throughout the game and went in behind at half-time on a scoreline of to It could have been closer as we missed a penalty in the last few minutes of the first half, when their goalkeeper pulled off a fine save.
In the second half, Corca Dhuibhne gradually took control, although there was only five points in it with ten minutes to play. Corcha Duibhne won on a final score of to The most pleasing aspect of this game was the character the team showed in never dropping their heads and the way they kept battling to the final whistle. It was a very entertaining match, which we ended up winning by a single point.
The most pleasing aspect of the year was that every member of the panel played some game time. Panel: B. O Connell, B. Cahill, B. Colleran, C. Clancy, C. Tevlin, D. Walsh, D. Crimmins, R. Crimmins, E. Campbell, E. Hanrahan, I. Carrigg, M. Lynch, M. Darcy, M. Corry, N. Meere, P.

Flannan s , West Clare Colleges Flannan s showed great resilience to defeat a physical west Clare colleges on a wet and windy day in October, leading by to after playing with an extremely strong wind. Two early second half goals by poacher supreme Daragh Duggan swung the tie in favour of St.
Flannan s. Two weeks later we faced St. Brendan s, Killarney, whose team we later found out was backboned by twelve third years. Brendan s won the competition averaging 15 point wins. Amidst their disappointment this group of players declared they would reverse the result when it comes to the Frewen competition in Panel: E. Collins, E. Keane, P. Crowe, H. Starr, M. Nugent, A. Flannan s to an impressive victory. Played in Kilmallock, St. Flannan s played well, but went down to a to defeat. However, given some notable absences due to injuries, this was a good performance and enough to earn the team a quarter-final spot in January.
In the quarter final, St. Flannan s College was drawn against old rivals St. Brendan s Killarney. Played in atrocious conditions on a bitterly-cold day in Charleville, St. Flannan s lost on a scoreline of to It really was a case of what might have been, as the team dominated for long periods, yet failed to translate possession into goals and points on the scoreboard. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable campaign and the future looks bright for football in the college.

Griffin is too sober a personality to conjure up images of a giant-killing on the colleges field but with a school of less than pupils, to win a pair of All-Ireland senior colleges titles in Croke Park is an outrageous achievement.
It is said that there was even a bit of shoulder-shrugging around the town after the second one last Easter. It was still a big celebration when we came home but this year, lads were going back to school the following day. The first year was leading into the two-week break for Easter, whereas this year it was at the end and everyone was a bit high. The club coaches who nurtured those diamonds in the rough?
A bit of Griffin guidance. Irrespective, the harvest is being harvested. There was a bit of second- year syndrome, fellas kind of going through the motions. The key - and an instructive tale for other counties - to the whole success of the last two years was the co-operation with the Kerry minor management. Straight up. The coaches were coming out to the players rather than the other way around. The Kerry minors called them in at the weekend. It saved money from a travelling expenses point of view too.
Alan took a few sessions here, I took notes, took their advice. It jolted his senses. Tomorrow will stir the passions of course, but he watches with a colder eye now. Tiernan McCann had some 60 minutes, he can carry serious ball. The game was changing back in the early noughties. But as long as no one gets carried away, and everyone settles, Kerry is in a decent place now. Not as good as some say, but not as bad as some suggested back after the semi-final in We won an All-Ireland minor last year, a senior too, and a junior this year.
Perhaps at some stage tomorrow, Tommy Griffin might look down on the small square at the Davin End and think of The Slip. The day he went from Kerry player to festooned hero. A man with a past. On the sideline, Jack and Fitzmaurice are holding their nerve. As they should. We barely got out of Longford, then Sligo and the Antrim in the qualifiers after being down in Cork. Then to come back and destroy Dublin Above in Pearse Park in Longford, they kicked 11 wides in the second half.
We were a beaten docket that day. Yeah, he had a point got before the goal. Once we settled, the pressure out the field on Cork possession was excellent. I finished strong. Finished strong. Tommy Walsh kicked four points. It was something I did. Too busy mapping out the future. Too busy watching Dylan Geaney kicking all those footballs over the bar. The NDP's Health critic said this could leave a lasting mark on Manitoba's health-care system as the pandemic drags on — and for years to come. So it's a huge loss if and when they walk away. And I know the nurses have walked away," Uzoma Asagwara said. The 10 ER nurses said it's hurtful to hear the Manitoba government praise them in writing, but not hear their concerns or provide a clear plan to support them.
And we do have a threshold. And there's only so much that one person can do. We're really just humans. She arrived in Yukon alongside thousands of others, all making their way to the Klondike in in search of gold. But Lucille Hunter's story is anything but typical. For one thing, she was a Black woman. Look at any historic photos from Dawson City during the Gold Rush and you'll see a sea of whiskered white faces. Her organization aims to bring more attention to under-appreciated characters and stories from Yukon's past.
By the time she died in at the age of 93, she was a well-known and well-respected character in Whitehorse, with plenty of yarns to spin. She and her husband had mining claims. She raised their daughter on the creeks. She was just a really interesting woman, by all accounts. They didn't travel over the famous Chilkoot Pass though — they had chosen to go via the infamously grueling Stikine Route through northern B.
Leaving the segregated U. It's not clear why the Hunters decided to head for the Klondike. Hrenchuk figures they were young and may have just been looking for adventure. But she also wonders if part of the lure of the North was its promise of a less racially-segregated society than the Hunters knew in the U. The couple arrived at Teslin Lake in late , where Lucille gave birth to her daughter.
The young family then headed North to the Klondike by dog team, in mid-winter. That's where they stayed for the next 40 years or so. When Charles died in the late s, Lucille reportedly carried on working their claims for a few more years — walking many miles to reach them — before finally settling in Whitehorse and opening a laundry business downtown. Hrenchuk says Lucille Hunter was a "fiercely independent" woman, and is still remembered fondly by people old enough to have known her.

In conjunction with Niagara College, Brock University is hosting a weeklong event to bring attention to the violence that plagues Indigenous women.
Empty red dresses signify the loss of life of thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit, lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual people over the past 40 years to colonial violence. For Ashley Buck, Indigenous student success leader at Niagara College, the art installation is personal. This year, due to novel coronavirus, the university elected to transition to an online format. The REDress Project will bring together speakers from across the country to highlight some of the issues affecting Indigenous women.
Four of five panel discussions will be broadcast on Niagara College and Brock social media platforms. All interested participants will have to register. This inaction comes with a tremendous cost for Indigenous Peoples. His reporting is funded by the Canadian government through its Local Journalism Initiative. Melvin said the blended model has also affected the quality of the education she and her peers are getting, which has led to concerns over being accepted to university or college. In an interview Tuesday, he said concern for student mental health is the reason he pushed to keep schools open as much as possible throughout the pandemic, in order to give students as much opportunity to interact with their peers.
Cardy said the department is also working to provide additional counselling services and accelerate work to expand the range of options for student mental health supports. Sarah Dow-Fleisner, an assistant professor in the school of social work at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus.
However, that natural development has been "roadblocked" by the pandemic and the restrictions they have to live with at school and in the community. They're not necessarily having those peer interactions that are informal. At the same time, simple practices such as maintaining a routine can help students feel a sense of normalcy even amid the other changes, she said.
This can lead to poor sleeping habits and sedentary behaviour, all of which can affect mental health. One of three skiers was injured and taken to a hospital by the U. The three men were backcountry skiing on the south side of Chilkoot Lake about 10 miles 16 kilometres northwest of the community of Haines, said Joe Wineke, command centre watchstander for Coast Guard District The skiers were going up a mountain when they stumbled across the brown bear den at an elevation of about 1, feet metres , said Carl Koch, an Alaska Department of Fish and Game management biologist.
The skier rolled down the hill during the attack, at one point playing dead. The bear ran away, Koch said. The men called for help using a satellite communication device that also provided their GPS location co-ordinates. A five-person Coast Guard crew from Sitka arrived in a MH Jayhawk helicopter and lowered a crew member to evaluate the injured skier before hoisting him into the helicopter, the Coast Guard said.
The man was not identified by officials, who said he was initially taken to Juneau and hospitalized. He was alert and talking during the rescue, the Coast Guard said. The other two skiers did not need help and went down the mountain on their own, the Coast Guard said. Koch said it is a common misconception that bears are in full hibernation during the winter.
Bears enter a state called torpor in which they slow down body functions to preserve energy and stay warm through the winter. Torpor is less intense than hibernation, and Koch said bears can wake up and leave the den before returning to torpor. Bears can also wake up in response to disturbances and bear attacks happen during the winter, but are not common, Koch said.
Saturday's bear attack is still under investigation by wildlife biologists and troopers. The Associated Press. The "Judas" of the tale is FBI informant Bill O'Neal, who was encouraged to infiltrate the Black power movement and whose actions led to the fatal raid on the apartment where Hampton lay sleeping. The summary reports consist of a chart listing each school in the regional centre for education and a brief response to each of the following categories: System Type Active or Passive , Inspection completed by Sept 8, Yes or No , Maintenance Complete? Yes or No. The Journal asked the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development via email why there was no publicity surrounding the release of the summary reports, how and where the full reports could be accessed, and for an accounting of the federal monies spent on ventilation.
The response to these questions, via email from Violet MacLeod, a communications advisor for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, did not answer any of these questions. Ventilation system checks have been done at each and every school before students returned in the fall. Systems were checked, repaired as needed and confirmed to be in good working order; windows are able to open and systems are working as designed. The Journal also asked the SRCE why it did not publicize the release of the ventilation reporting summary.

He said he believes charges against Trump are unfounded and the proceeding is unconstitutional.
At least two Democrats, veteran U. Tim Ryan, who represents the blue-collar Mahoning Valley, and former state health director Amy Acton have also signalled serious interest in the coveted open seat after Portman won it handily twice. Mandel abruptly abandoned his last Senate campaign in January , citing unspecified health issues being experienced by his then-wife, Ilana. Answer You should contact the civil registration office in the country in which you plan to marry to find out what you need to do.
The legal validity of your marriage depends on the laws of the country in which you marry. The legal formalities abroad are usually different to those in Ireland. For example, a church marriage abroad is usually a purely religious ceremony with no legal effect. You may decide to have a civil marriage in Ireland followed by a religious ceremony abroad.
Although you must meet the requirements of the country you are marrying in, you are still bound by Irish law in relation to the capacity to marry. For example, if you ordinarily live in Ireland and one or both of you is aged under 18, you must have a Court Exemption Order to marry. If you marry abroad without this, your marriage will not be recognised under Irish law.
Marriages that take place outside the State are not normally registered in Ireland. They are usually registered in the country where they take place. Your foreign marriage certificate will usually be accepted for official purposes in Ireland if you need to show evidence that you are married. If the certificate is in a foreign language, you must provide an official translation or a translation from a recognised translation agency.
You may require a Certificate of Freedom to Marry to get married in some foreign countries. You should apply at least four months before the date of your marriage. I began going lighter with my hair at the beginning of this year early At first I just wanted to lighten the brown a little, break up the darkness but really deep down I wanted to go blonde - typical! They have personal hairstylists on hand 24hours a day… remember that.
The first picture is my hair at the beginning in January -. Bare in mind before I started this process I had not dyed my hair in over 3 years. No home colour. Since coming to Australia I have got my hair done once, by an Irish girl over here. Irish hairdressers are one of the most highly trained.
I decided I wanted to bring my blonde right up to my roots, and I got an Olaplex treatment for the first time. I did not do this overnight, I take care of my hair by using good quality shampoo and conditioner and I use a hair mask at least once a week. So ladies, trust your hairdressers! Always ask to maintain the health and quality of your hair and trust them when they say lightening your hair too quick will damage it.
Call Chris or Colette Tel: or e-mail : traleeadvertiser gmail. And it seems many women are still in the mind frame that you need to do lots of cardio, eat no carbs, stop eating after 7pm and all this other nonsense in order to lose weight. Go to any decent personal trainer or gym instructor and they will tell you Your body needs carbohydrates for energy.
Strength training burns more calories for longer. But I have been training properly and eating according to my lifestyle, my goals and my preferences for over a year now and the difference is insane. I get from MyProtein. Some foods are more calorie dense than others yes, and over consumption of those foods is not recommended. LIMI Join for 3 mths, get 4! Join for 12 mths, get 13! This is one of Nancy Silverton signature dishes originally cooked by Matt Molina at a dinner party Wrap a slice of pancetta around each fig half and secure with a toothpick.
Grill the figs over medium heat, turning, until the pancetta is crisp all over, about 5 minutes total. Transfer to a work surface and discard the toothpicks. In a bowl, drizzle the dandelion greens with olive oil until lightly coated and toss. Season the greens with salt and pepper. Arrange the greens across the grill grates and cook, turning gently, until lightly charred and wilted, about 1 minute. Transfer the greens to plates and top with the fig halves.
Using a vegetable peeler, shave the cheese over the salads. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and serve right away. In a large, nonreactive saucepan, toss the fig pieces with the sugar and let stand, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes, until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the figs are juicy. Add the lemon juice and water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Simmer the fig jam over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is soft and the liquid runs off the side of a spoon in thick, heavy drops, about 20 minutes.
